Our Emergency Assistance ministry helps many needy families of Henderson. We provide food twice a week Tuesday and Fridays 9am til Noon.  We also have a variety of other services as funds are available.

 May 2012 Letter Carriers Food Drive ! !

  Another Food Drive from the U S Post Office has come and gone.  Again, we are most greatful to be one of the recipients of the Communites' donations of food products.   17 local Post Offices (in the LV Valley) gave to 21 different charities this year for more than 400,000 pounds of food!  We receive donations from 'old' Henderson, which is the Main Henderson Post Office at 404 Boulder Hwy. 

This year we received more than 18,500 pounds of canned and dry goods along with juices, candy, some flour, sugar and other products.  This will be used to stock our 'food pantry' and should carry us through October or Novemeber of this year.

We are greatful for the 70 + (plus) Letter Carriers, Supervisors and other staff plus more than 50 laborers from our local church and community.  Of those, 15 teens from St Thomas More Church and their staff also, come every year to assist us.  Thanks to all of our hard workers, cooks, packers, stackers, loaders, unloaders, gophers and all other names which laborers are called.  May the Good Lord Bless you all!!
